Après ses études et son Diplôme
d'Interprète de l'Université de Massachusetts, Patricia Nagle se perfectionne
en France auprès des grands Maîtres: Maxence Larrieu, Michel Debost, Jean
Pierre Rampal et Andras Adorjan.
Remarquée par Michel Plasson et
Roberto Benzi, elle sera soliste à l'Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse
puis à l’Orchestre Gulbenkian à Lisbonne, Piccolo solo à l'Orchestre National
Bordeaux- Aquitaine. Se produisant sur les plus grandes scènes internationales,
Carnegie Hall, New York, Kennedy Center Washington D.C.
Concertiste, elle est l'invitée
aux Festivals à Moscou, au Conservatoire Tchaïkovski , en tournée avec
l'Orchestre Philharmonique d'Arad en Allemagne, en France en soliste avec
l'Orchestre Brocéliande et au Staats Orchestre de Craiova en Roumanie, en
Italie et en Maroc avec la Philharmonique du Maroc .
Elle donne Masterclasses
à Paris, en Italie et en Russie, notamment au Conservatoire Tchaïkovski et à la
Gnessen School à Moscow ainsi à l’Ecole National de Musique à Casablanca, en
Maroc., également en Chine au en Corée.
Patricia Nagle a enregistré
pour EMI et participe régulièrement à des émissions radiotélévision en Europe.
Elle a publié de nombreux articles sur la pédagogie et l'ergonomie. Active sur
la recherche instrumentale notamment sur le "Système Kingma - quart
de ton" inventé par la Flûtiste- Luthière hollandaise Eva Kingma. Elle
joue donc une flûte en sol Kingma Système et une flûte basse fabriquée pour
elle par cette luthière. Patricia Nagle enseigne à l' École Normale de
Musique –Alfred Cortot de Paris, au Conservatoire Darius Milhaud Paris
CMA-14ème et au Conservatoire Maurice Ravel à Levallois où elle est professeur
titulaire.
PATRICIA NAGLE, Originally from the United States, after receiving her
Bachelors Degree in Performance at the University of Massachusetts, came to
France to perfect flute studies with Maxence Larrieu and Michel Debost, while taking
part in the Master Classes of Jean-Pierre Rampal and Andras Adorjan.
Engaged
directly thereafter by the very well known French conductor, Michel Plasson as
principal flute in the National Orchestre du Capitole of Toulouse, which led
her to performances in Carnegie Hall, New York and the Kennedy Arts Center in
Washington, D.C., following after, she was engaged by the National Orchestre of
Bordeaux-Aquitaine directed by Roberto Benzi in Bordeaux, France.
Internationally,
she has been invited regularly as principal flute by the Foundation Gulbenkian
Orchestra of Lisbon - Portugal, under the direction of Muhai Tang, Philippe
Bender and Richard Hickox, Wolfgang Sawallisch...
Presently,
Piccolo solo of the Romantic European Orchestra and is currently performing at
the Salle Gaveau, Paris. Patricia Nagle has performed and recorded under the
direction of such illustrious conductors as Michel Plasson, Zdenek Macal,
Eliahu Inbal, John Elliott Gardiner, Kurt Mazur, Klaus Weise, Yann-Pascal
Tortelier, Jesus Lobez-Cobos and Nello Santi….
Very
much involved with classical as well as contemporary repertoire, she has
participated in creations, many recordings notably with EMI, television
broadcasts and radio programmes throughout Europe. Her interest in the Music of
the 21st century has led her to create and premier works written for her by
such composers as Anthony Girard, Vincent Paulet, Alain Besson, Arthur
Ahronyan, Peyman Fazinpour, Jan Friedlin, Xu Yi…
Invited
to Festivals such as in Moscow at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, she has also
appeared as soloist with international orchestras touring in, Germany, Italy
and France as well as participating in creations and contemporary works with “Ciel
Ouvert” as solo flute under the direction of Bernard Calmel.
She
has given Masterclasses in Paris, Italy, Russia, notably in Moscow at the
Tchaikovsky Conservatoire for the Gnessen School of Music as well as the
National School of Music in Casablanca, Morocco, China, Korea…
Involved
with research and diffusion in the press concerning her profession and pedagogy,
she has interviewed James Galway, Michel Debost, and Joanne Bennett... Also she
has written articles concerning physical therapists for musicians, and
specifically about the new quarter tone flute, the "System Kingma"
invented by the flute maker, Eva Kingma, in Holland. Where in fact she owns and
performs on a Kingma system Alto flute and A Kingma Bass flute made for her by
this expert flute maker.
Currently,
Patricia Nagle is professor at the internationally renowned L’Ecole Normale de
Musique-Alfred Cortot in Paris, the Conservatory Darius Milhaud - Paris CMA14
and the Maurice Ravel Conservatory in Levallois.
